Offscreen Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Offscreen is run by Deep Forest AI (Offscreen) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Offscreen through ChatGPT, Claude, or getoffscreen.com, and what we do with it. Offscreen is for businesses, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Contact: hello@getoffscreen.com.
2. What we collect and why
Your account. The email address you sign in with, or the email Google or Apple gives us when you sign in with them, which may be a private relay address. We send a sign-in code to it and order emails.
Your business details. The business name, phone, tagline, website, license number, colors and trade you give us, and a logo you upload or give us a web address for. We download that logo once and store a copy to print it. If you ask the assistant to look your business up, we fetch your website and, through Google's Places service, your public business listing, and show you the results to confirm. We store only what you confirm.
Designs and orders. The proofs you make, the quotes and orders you place, and the delivery address and name you type at checkout. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
Your hosted page. When someone scans a code on your print or opens your page, we record the time, the country, region and city Cloudflare reports, the device type (phone, tablet or desktop), the referring site's host name, and a visitor code that changes every day and cannot be traced to a person. No IP address, name or cookie is stored. If your page has a request form, we store what the visitor types (name, contact, message) and email it to you. We keep scan events for 13 months.
Keep-me-posted sign-ups. Name, business, email, trade, assistant, city and state, which we use only to send you news and tips for your first run.
Support email. Anything you send us at hello@getoffscreen.com.
3. How we use information
- To make proofs, print files, and your hosted page.
- To price, take payment for, produce, ship, and support your order.
- To send you sign-in codes and order messages.
- To send you news and tips, if you signed up to be kept posted.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and keep records the law requires.
- To keep the service working and improve it, using counts and logs without your content.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use your logos or designs for anyone else.
4. Who we share it with
Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payment), Resend (email), Google (sign-in and business lookups when you use them), Apple (sign-in when you use it), and the print partner that prints and ships your order (your delivery name and address and the print file). No advertising, no sale of data.
OpenAI and Anthropic run ChatGPT and Claude, and their privacy terms govern your conversation. We also share information with our advisers (lawyers, accountants, insurers) and authorities when the law requires, and with a buyer if we sell the business. Proof pages, proof images, and logo files are not listed publicly, but anyone who has the link can open them, so do not share them with people you do not want to see them.
5. How long we keep it
- Orders, proofs and receipts: as long as your account exists and as tax records require.
- Scan events: 13 months.
- Sign-in codes: minutes.
- Keep-me-posted entries: until you ask us to remove them.
Ask hello@getoffscreen.com to delete your account and we remove everything we are not required to keep.
6. Cookies
The product pages set a session cookie only while you sign in. Your hosted page sets no cookies.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by writing to hello@getoffscreen.com. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, as described above. You can change or unpublish your hosted page in the chat at any time. Because Offscreen serves businesses, the contact details we hold are mostly business details.
8. Security
We protect your information with sign-in controls, encrypted connections, separation between customers' data, and limits on who can see it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Where information is kept
We operate in the United States and deliver only within the United States. Your information is stored in the United States.
10. Changes and contact
